If you look up "DIY racing" in the dictionary, you'll probably see Doug Stanley's picture next to the definition. Doug epitomizes the every-day enthusiast who enjoys fast cars, researching what works best, and wrenching on their own ride. Right from the get go when Doug bought his WRX he was at the track getting base-line 1/4 mile runs in what would eventually be a quest to be one of the fastest 2.0L WRX's in the world.

With the help of vendors, manufacturers, and friends Doug has managed to turn his WRX into one mean street machine that will blow the paint off of just about anything on the road; C6 ZO6 what? Rather than brag about horsepower numbers with no skill to back them up, Doug is well known among his local community as a driver who can take just about any car, drive it hard, and get a new best time slip for it's owner.

So when Doug decided last year it was time to tear open his JDM Spec-C motor, MTS offered up our help in getting Doug whatever he needed. From support bars to t-bolts; wrenching into the late night; MTS can proudly say we sponsor Doug's car; truly a testament to the capabilities of the DIY racer. Later this year we hope Doug will continue to progress and break into the low 10's. He's already making arrangements for a roll cage which can only mean good things. Congrats Doug!
